how do you even begin to unlearn the ridiculous notion that your self worth is tied to your outer appearance/how skinny you are because I really want to feel good about myself for once
What is this new “Mistresses” show? Why are we glorifying infidelity? Infidelity fucked me up big time in my relationships, and surely has screwed up other people as well, and to see it as such a “hot” thing on TV frankly pisses me off. A lot. Seeing people getting cheated on in movies or TV or whatever is still a huge trigger for me, and it’s plastered everywhere like it’s nothing at all.

I run into this so often with words that I’ve only ever read, and when it comes time to employ them in a sentence I realize that I actually have no idea how to pronounce it irl.

When I was 21, I wanted to save the world. I still do. But half the time I’m still trying to save myself first.
“Right now I’m not even sure if college is for me.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well, I’m going to sound a bit like a hippy… but everyone tells you to ‘follow your own path,’ then you’re put into an institution where you’re funneled down these predetermined tracks. Then you’re packaged up and regurgitated back into society. Like you’re a GI Joe. Or a Barbie.”
